To close out the road racing year, the racing calendar is marked with the biggest monument on the NSW calendar – The Wall. Now in its fourth edition, it already has an aura of brutality and mythical riding status. This is a race that you can be defined by. With no defending champion, in fact the whole podium isn’t there to defend their positions, we will see a new winner crowned come Sunday. Who will be the fastest on the day? Last year Scratch cruised to victory, this year it may not be so easy for them. Please note that this is the final list for race day.
Jake Kauffmann put his stamp of authority on The Wall with a strong victory to take the overall and fastest rider in the 2016 edition. With a strong scratch bunch, they simply mowed down the field and set a new record time of 2 hours 35 minutes to cover the course in an average of 42.3km/hr. Continue reading
