This annual classic Criterium event will be run again by the Waratah Masters CC on the fabulous Raceway at Eastern Creek on Sunday 18 December. The perfect lead in to Christmas.
A large prize pool of cash and prizes in excess of $4,500 makes it well worth getting out of bed for. There are prizes for first female in each grade on the day. So expect a very competitive morning of racing on the super smooth Eastern Creek Raceway.
There will be a total of five grades starting at 7.00am (All Divisions). The event is open to all Masters riders (riders over 30) who have a RACE licence.
Entries are available via CNSW website. Enter on line to avoid long queues for a race entry of $27. Entry is possible on the day but be early and it will incur a late fee.
The schedule for the morning is as follows:
|Division 1||75 Mins + 1 Lap|
|Division 2||70 Mins + 1 Lap|
|Division 3||60 Mins + 1 Lap|
|Division 4||50 Mins + 1 Lap|
|Division 5||40 Mins + 1 Lap|
The racing will be conducted on the Gardner GP Circuit which measures 3.93 kilometres per lap.
The original 3.93 kilometre Grand Prix circuit was completed in 1990, complying with FIA category two standards and hosting a number of major international races, including the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, V8 Supercars Championship and the A1GP.
The track surface is hot mix bitumen, 15m wide on the main straight, and narrows to 12m as it flows through the landscaped hills.
A favourite amongst riders, the Gardner GP circuit offers a variety of challenging bends, curves, turns and straights.
Offering plenty of cornering, braking and passing opportunities, it rewards the committed. The long downhill finish certainly allows you to crank it up to maximum speed.
