Manly Warringah Club Cat 4 Racing
At Manly Warringah, we have permission from Parks NSW to use their roads around Akuna Bay and West Head. This is the only regular road circuit used for club racing in Metropolitan Sydney. We race usually once a month (weather permitting) and encourage club members and riders from other clubs to come and race on a challenging course.

Race Details
We usually have 4 grades, A, B, C and D gr/ades. The course may vary depending upon the grade you ride.
Beginners are welcome.
We have a few regular race formats:
The West Head Road course. Meet at the car park on right of road near the Elvina Track. The course will be to the West Head far turn around with the finish at the car park. The number of laps varies by grade. A grade 3 laps, B/C grade 2 laps and D grade1 lap.
The West Head Akuna Bay course. Meet at the top box. Start neutral down McCarrs Creek Rd, and race commences at the bottom NPWS tollgate (going towards West Head). Turn around at West Head picnic area. Do not descend to the lookout. Return along West Head Rd and make the right turn into Akuna Bay Rd. Race concludes at the top NPWS tollgate.
The West Head Time Trial
Individual time trial. The course is out and back on the West Head Road starting/finishing at the Elvina walking track carpark and turning at the West Head carpark. Distance is approx. 21km. A very tough 21km!
Registration is at the Elvina Walking track carpark on the West Head Road and will commence at 7am with the first rider starting at 8am with 1 minute intervals. The start order will be the order you signed in however we will close registration at 8am i.e. you will need to sign on between 7am and 8am.
The Illawong Bay (Akuna Bay) Hill Time Trial
Individual time trial. The course is from the box at Illawong Bay up the Akuna Hill to the top box. %km of fun!!!
We're also working a Time Trial course to be run out through Duffy's Forest. Keep checking back for updates on this.
The Warringah Traffic committee and National Parks have approved the below dates for Manly's Summer 09/10 racing season
