Marconi Cycling Club hosted the NSW Crit Championships under lights at Eastern Creek on February 20. On the night it wasn’t just under lights but under water as well. A massive storm rolled in right at the end of the Women’s Elite Crit which almost had eventual winner from Dulwich Hill Amy Vesty simply surfing away from her competition. After a brief interlude the racing was back on and MWCC had some stand out performances.

Resident photographer Riding Focus was there to capture the deluge and the exciting racing that occurred as riders slid their way around the tracks. In such epic conditions it made it difficult for the bunches to get organised and a number of attacks and solo breakaways dominated the night. Check out his huge gallery of photos here, which show the conditions that the riders faced on the night.  Riding Focus State Crit Champs Gallery
