Riders who are looking for a social membership and aren’t interested in racing, MWCC now has a choice of social membership providers. Members are able to join up via Cycling Australia or Bicycle Network to enjoy their benefits and ours.

You may not race at our West Head events, but you may like the training and challenge of events such as 3 Peaks or the new Orange Challenge in NSW that are put on by Bicycle Network.

In the past you may have not renewed or joined with MWCC if this type of riding was your focus. You can now enjoy a discounted membership by joining through MWCC.

Thanks to our new arrangement with Bicycle Network riders are able to join Manly simultaneously as joining Bicycle Network. No extra paper work, no extra cost and no additional leg work.

For the price of $100 you get the full benefits of Bicycle Network membership and MWCC membership. By electing to join via MWCC you are actually receiving a discount on your Bicycle Network membership.

As a member of Bicycle Network,  you’ll receive:

  • Comprehensive cycling insurance designed for bike riders, providing cover for you in three ways: if you’re injured, if you cause injury to someone else and if you cause damage to someone else’s property.
  • Riders’ rights and legal support services
  • Subscription to Ride On magazine and Member Rewards
  • Help us improve riding condition to make bike riding easy for everyone

To take advantage of this offer when joining Bicycle Network, simply click through from our website and the rest will be done for you.

Please note that this type of membership with Bicycle Network is a non-racing licence. If you wish to race then you will be required to purchase a Cycling Australia Race licence.

Riders can still purchase a Ride Licence via Cycling Australia if they wish to take up that offer. This is simply providing a choice for social riders.

Look out for a number of MWCC current and former members in this ride video of the Bicycle Network Peaks Challenge in Tasmania recently. Thanks to Nero Racing for the footage.
