The final two rounds to the National Cyclo-Cross Series presented by SRAM and Champion Systems is happening this weekend – 29/30 September.

Forget the AFL, forget the Bulldogs beating the Storm – this is the biggest event happening on the Northern Beaches this weekend. Don’t worry northern beaches sports fans – you don’t have to cross the Harbour Bridge or even the Spit bridge to attend this sporting spectacular – just head up to the JJ Melbourne Hills Memorial Reserve at Terrey Hills and be ready to cheer and laugh.

However this weekend isn’t just about the elites – there are also the support races which are open to everyone, including a kids race that is worth getting excited about. You don’t even have to have crossed before to give it a go.

You don’t need a cyclo cross bike to race! You can race the open race on any bike that has two functional brakes – so if you own a bike you can cover this course, we have had plenty of mountain bikes zip around the course, we have had couriers on their fixies fly around the course mid delivery, perfect chance to race around on the commuter. Not having a bike isn’t an excuse not to be there.

So get your kids off the computer, dust off their bikes and helmet and let them earn that pocket money.

We have an absolute stack of prizes to give away throughout the weekend including bikes, cameras, bike stuff and beer!!

Can I still enter the support events?

Yes, support events are $15 for pre-entry (which closes Thursday night), $20 on the day.

Riders with a MTBA license or requiring a day license for the events can enter online here

CA & BMXA License holders need to download the manual form here and send it to the email address on the form

Entry for these races will also be available on the day until the rider limit is reached.

Cheaper for juniors and free for  Little Crossers. Yes it’s a BARGAIN.

Have a race and then watch how the professionals do it.
