Looking for a fun weekend away on the bike but without the competitive racing? The Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge has plenty of options available for all types of riders on Sunday 4 August.
This cyclo sportif weekend is a short trip out of Sydney, which will provide plenty of opportunities for the whole family to ride their bikes over varying distances. This weekend of riding is open to riders of all levels and abilities and you do not require a racing licence to compete. This event is very much about participation and the challenge and not just the serious lycra brigade.
The ‘Main Event’ is a ride of 100 kilometres starting and finishing at the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores on the 4 August. Overall the Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge will have eight different categories to enter suiting all cyclists.
Eight Levels of Entry:
1 – 100 km solo cyclists male.
2 – 100 km solo cyclists female.
3 – 100 km team event, (unisex), with 2, 3 or 4 cyclists all cycling the 100km.
4 – 100 km relay event, (groups of 2 or 3). Each cyclist completes approximately one third of the course, with both transfers taking place at the intersection of North Bank Road and the old Pacific Highway.
5 – 100 km Tandem and Recumbent Bikes, (unisex).
6 – 60 km solo cyclists male.
7 – 60 km solo cyclists female.
8 – Family Ride
