Unfortunately due to global events outside of our control, we have cancelled this event. We look forward to riding and racing with you when we all return to normal.

It is going to be a fun night on the tools and we look forward to welcoming all riders and clubs to this event.

ENTRIES CLOSED

The proposed format is as follows:

Event schedule (subject to change)
15:30 – 16:45 – course build (volunteers needed!!)
16:45 – 17:20 – registration and pre-ride
17:20 – 17:30 – U9 / U13 – modified course
17:35 – 17:40 – Little ‘crossers (balance bikes, small kids, small course – tire them out before Hoot’s lullaby)
17:40 – 18:05 – Open (any bike) / MTB / U15/U17 (20 mins)
18:10 – 18:45 – Women B / Men B (30 – 35 mins)
18:50 – 19:30 – Women A / Men A (35-40 mins)
19:30 – 19:45 – Course break down (all hands on deck)
19:45 – Presentation and pizza delivery

Important:
Women and Men A & B grades are CX bike only categories – drop bars and 35mm tyre width maximum.
Open C and Junior categories – bring any (safe) bike with working brakes.
We’re also running a separate MTB category for those who are yet to buy a cx bike, leaving our Open category as a real Intro-to-cyclocross category – come along with any bike and have some fun.
Sunset on 28 March is 6:55pm. Under our Cycling NSW sanctioning, Women A and Men A will be required to have a front and rear light fitted to their bike.

If you are unsure of the correct grading, here’s a very loose guideline:
– If you race A or B grade on the road, enter A Grade
– If you race C or D grade on the road, enter B Grade.
– If it’s your first ever cyclocross race and you have absolutely no idea what to expect, the Open come and try race is for you.
– If you are U15 or U17 and just so happen to be an absolute demon, perhaps moving up to B grade is a good idea.
– If you are up the pointy end of MTB races and have got yourself a CX rig (finally), A’s your grade.

Eligibility:
Financial CA 2020 RACE members
Financial MTBA members
Cycling Australia Race Starter Kit holders
Cycling Australia Race One Week holders

Licences will be checked at sign on so to make sure you can race, BRING your licence (physical or digital version) with you to the race.
PLEASE GET YOUR LICENCE BEFORE THE DAY!!! We’re always willing to help people into cyclocross, but organising your licence for you 5 minutes before your race starts isn’t within our bandwidth on the day. Please get your licence sorted before race day. To help you with that, here’s some useful links:

FAQs
Do I need a licence?
You will need a licence if you are racing in any of the following categories: U9, U13, U15, U17, Open, C, MTB, B, A.

Wait, isn’t that, like, everyone except little crossers?
Yes

What about lights?

Why do I need lights when I’m only racing MTB grade?
You only need lights, front and rear, if you are in either the A women or A men category.

Volunteers?
Of course, you can help!
We need:
Course set up and pull down – this is important, the faster we can get the course set up the longer race times we can run. The more the merrier
Scorers (no electronic timing)
People to run the little crossers race
